Regular Activities of NEMIS |
- Collection, integration, publication and dissemination of Pakistan Education Statistics
- Coordination with provinces/regions through Coordination-Com and Technical-Com
- Provision of data to national and international agencies e.g. Economic Survey, UNESCO Institute of Statistics (UIS) etc
- Preparation of District Profiles, Time Series Analysis, and various other reports
- Computation and dissemination of MDG-EFA indicators
- Continuous improvement in software for data entry, analysis and reporting
- Development of software for various analysis activities including computation of EFA indicators
- Providing technical support to Provincial/Regional EMISs
- Computer Training/Literacy: Provides computer literacy and high level training to participants of different packages
- Advisory/Consultancy Services: The Faculty Members also provide services within AEPAM and to other institutions as resource persons, advisors, tutors and consultants

- Pakistan Education ATLAS (PET) : NEMIS Devloped Pakistan first Education ATLAS with cooporation of World Food Program (WFP). PET developed to enhance utilization of data by providing printed as well as on-line Education Atlas to support the decision makers, and to Develop a Geographical Information System (GIS) focused on presentation of education data. - Online Pakistan Education Statistics : NEMIS developed Online Pakistan Education Statistics. This section contains custom reports like Institute Name wise, District wise, Gender wise and Level wise. User can search latest available data according to his/her requirements. User can download these reports into MS Excel format.

- National EMIS Survey (2008) : To Assess the capacity of Regional/Provincial and District EMISs. Identify technical, human resource, and data processing deficiencies. Suggest measures to bring each unit up to the minimum level to provide support to education managers.
- National Education Census (NEC) : Ministry of Education decided to conduct First National Education Census (NEC) 2005 in collaboration with Federal Bureau of Statistics, Statistics Division to collect information from all categories of education institutions from pre-primary to tertiary levels. The census was initiated in November, 2005 and completed by 30th June 2006 within the shortest possible time. Through census information has been collected from all categories of education institutions including public and private sector institutions and Deeni Madaris.
